The play we are taking a look at is PA Jet Sweep out of the SG Empty Trey Formation. This play can be found in the NYJ, SEA, and MIN offensive playbooks. Shotgun Empty Trey – PA JET SWEEP

Setup 1 –
a). Put your left slot receiver on a fade route (Up on the Dpad + receiver icon + up on the right analog stick)
b). Put your tight end on a streak (Up on the Dpad + tight end icon + Up on the Dpad)
c). Put your right slot receiver on a slant in route (Up on the Dpad + receiver icon + left on the right analog stick)
d). Motion Y one step the right and hike the ball

Variation Setup 2 –
a). Left Outside WR on a drag route (Up on the Dpad + receiver icon + down on the analog)
b). Put your tight end on a streak (Up on the Dpad + tight end icon + Up on the Dpad)
c). Put your right slot receiver on a slant in route (Up on the Dpad + receiver icon + left on the right analog stick)
d). Put your right outside WR on a smart routed out route (Up on the Dpad + receiver icon + right on the Dpad) then press (Up on the Dpad + receiver icon + click the right stick in to smart route)

— Hike the ball and watch the left slot receiver auto motion to the right —

  1. Nice tip. I noticed a similar play in the Steelers book out of 5 wide as well and it seemed to work the same. So for those of you that like this play make sure to check out your 5 wide formation in your playbook.

  2. I see you on#89 good deal!! I’m pulling for ya! BTW there is a screen play on Shotgun Ace formation i think its FL screen …anyways its amazing and its very effective and i suck lol So what i do is hot route the ‘B’ WR to a drag motion the “x” WR’ and drag him as well then route the RB to the right flat and it becomes a RB screen. Let me know if its useful friend.

    • You definitely don’t suck I used to use the same play with the same exact adjustments lol! I just wish the screen out of Ace was as good as the one in SG Doubles
