Initial Thoughts of the Carolina Panthers Offensive Playbook:
3WR 1RB Scheme:
Gun Empty Bunch – Although QB draw is no longer over powered, the passing scheme is still there with Z Spot, Divide Wheel, Trail, Curl Flats, Verticals, and Y Curl
Shotgun Eagle H Tight – This formation is a perfect complement to your five wide type scheme due to the ability to have dual delay routes to eliminate the pressure your likely to face when you don’t a running back in the back field. The routes will be there with the plays Stick, Deep In, Slot Wheel, WR Corners, and Stick Nod.
Gun Stack HB Wk – Curl Switch, Bench Switch, Double Corner and Inside Zone all create a nice little mini scheme that will attack the middle of the field and both sidelines to keep your opponent guessing.
Gun Trio Falcon – Another Trips TE formation, this is going to be one of the better ones in the game with plays PA Fork Under, Smash Seam, PA Deep Attack, Bubble Screen, Dagger, PA Shot Wheel and HB Slip Screen. Run game will probably consist of a lot of HB Draws from this formation as HB Quick Base is hit or miss
2 TE 2WR Scheme:
Gun Ace Slot – The 3 play combination of PA Read, Posts and Z Spot will make up for a really annoying two tight end offense combined with Inside Zone being one of the better shotguns in the game due to the inability to manually shoot the b gap the same way you normally would against an inside zone. PA read sends multiple crossing routes to the right side of the field, while posts is one of the best blitz beaters in the game and X Spot can be used as either a zone flood or a motion of the corner route to give yourself two post routes that your opponent has to manually guard which should be attacking the zones over the middle of the field at separate times putting pressure on your opponents user. QB Power might work really well with a QB like Lamar Jackson.
