Madden 24 - Green Bay Packers Playbook

The Packers are up there for best playbook in Madden 24. Definitely if you're someone that's used to using Gun Trips TE. They have the same Trips TE as the Pats (great). They also have Gun Bunch TE which would be fantastic to audible around between the 2. Then you also have Gun Bunch Str Offset. Gun Tight Y Off and Wk, the Best possible SB Bunch X Nasty, so many powerful under center runs sets, an amazing Strong Close, a good enough SB Deuce Close. Its a phenomenal book depending on your play style.
Sorry Mr. Green Bay Playbook but I'm on a time crunch here to get these playbooks out I don't have enough time to screenshot all these plays and show you the respect you deserve. So Top 3 will have to do.

Litez's Top 3 Favorite Formations in Green Bay Packers Playbook Madden 24

Singleback Bunch X Nasty - This is a formation I fell for as soon as I laid eyes on it during that Madden Patch Update when it was added to the game. This is a formation that fits the way I play to a tee. Out of respect to my guy Zan, I tried to stay away as long as possible. But this year I just like it too much for how the game plays and what routes you need. I'm pretty sure at some point I'll be running it, just not sure if it'll be right away or not. Hopefully I'll do a good job adding my own twist to it when I do.

Gun Trips TE - Same exact Trips TE as the Patriots. (don't judge taking the screenshots I did for them.) This Trips TE is phenomenal. You can audible to it, or even come out in it and then audible to SB Bunch Nasty, or Gun Bunch TE, or an audible down Stretch from a 2 back set. A lot of things you can do with this book with Trips TE as the focal point.

Gun Bunch TE - PA Boot Over will always be such a good Bomb / Roll Out play. Now Playaction's can't get spammed so you're going to have to mix up your route concepts with it some more. But the PA Boot Over / Triple Out, Inside Zone Combo is still full effect for Madden 24. Just mix this in with Bunch X Nasty and Trips TE and you should be good to go.

Thoughts & Analysis on the Green Bay Packers Madden 24 Playbook by Brobean

  •  SB Wing Close

Wing Close is a new formation that has some nice spacing.  With the run game, you have a flippable wide zone as well as a dive, so a three headed rushing attack could be nice.  The pass plays have double outs, which has both WR’s on speed outs, and the outside TE on a trail.  PA Cross, again, you have a compressed skinny post and a crosser from the opposite side.  You also have a deep corner by the Bunch WR.  You can motion out the RB to the solo WR side to create a unique 5 wide look and still protect.  A formation like this could be real fun once HRM drops.

  •  SB Bunch X Nasty

This is a full Bunch X Nasty which could end up being a meta formation this year.  If you want to come out in two te’s, you could audible from X nasty to any of the two TE sets and have a nice UC scheme.  The general feeling amongst many is that these bunch nasty’s will be the meta formation this year.  The UC version offers a really nice run game and now, the ability to block the TE which it didn’t in years past.  There are so many crazy route combinations you can make.  There’s deep posts from each side, crossers, deep speed outs and ins.  Other than strong close, this is probably the best UC passing set in the game.

  •  Iform Y Off Close and Close Flex

A new formation and the main pass play is PA Pylon Sail for y off close.  This play has two very unique corner routes by the strong side WR and the TE.  Dual corners was the best passing concept in M23 and felt very good during the beta.  Also has double dig with a post from the opposite side.  You have a stretch, toss and iso for the run game.  Can attack all three sides.  The close flex stretch could be a very annoying run in M24.  The fact you can flip it, allows you to look at the box and determine which side you have the numbers advantage to.  The WR side is always really good at running towards.  The PA te corner play has that glitchy angled post that cooks man.

  •  Gun Tight Y Off

You have choice pivot return which has a corner and the TE on a pivot route.  Those pivots (inverted whip) may be really good this year.  You also have PA Go Slot Cross which was insane in M22.  With in breaking routes like crossers seemingly good again, this play could be a must have.  You also have flood drive and red zone scissors, which both have the iso WR on a post which attack sharper and deeper.  This version has switch WR drag which has a short corner and post working together to attack the sideline or the post in the middle of the field.  I wanted to highlight this version because it has an 01 trap, inside zone and an alert bubble.  Tight Y off Weak has corners everywhere, pivots, and a compressed deep post.  It’s a quick audible from Y off and can attack every area of the field.  The TE is off the line and the rb is on his opposite side so protection should be great.  These two sets alone could be a scheme in and of itself.  The play spot y middle has a glitchy angle route by the TE.

  •  Gun Trips TE

Could be the meta this year.  Has everything you need.  Run game has inside zone, an RPO bubble (great for people who blitz the trips side), counter and quick base.  Has every run you’d need from this set.  The passing can be dink and dunk or explosive.  Doubles in sail (two deep corners), PA shot wheel (crosser by the middle WR), PA slot corner will still be one of the best plays in the game with two corner and a sharp post, Drive post has a post from the inside slot wr this time and pairs with a TE corner, Verticals, slot swing has the outside WR on a post (although you can’t motion with this play and the wr’s align differently so there’s a tell), Curl flat (post, angle and corner), PA counter go has the inside WR on a deep crosser and the middle WR on that glitchy speed out.  Y Post could be an underrated play, depending on the TE Post.  If that post can beat man and get under a middle third, it has real potential.  Plus, a post and corner going the same direction.  Trips TE is always one of the early favorites.  I feel it’s best when defense is a zone meta and that could be the case this year.  There are so many crazy route combos and routes you can’t duplicate even with HRM.

  •  Gun Bunch Strg Offset

Toss, Inside Zone and and RPO are the three way to run the ball here.  There’s also a read option which could be really good.  Y Trail, Dagger, Durham and Corner Strike, all have unique ways of attacking both sidelines, the middle of the field and the seams.  A really nice complementary set.

  •  Bunch TE

PA Boot Over is going to be the hell money play people will go to on day one.  Maybe it won’t be as OP as it was in M22, but it’s going to be annoying.  This version has curl flat corner (MIDDLE WR on a deep corner), mesh (outside wr on a corner) and triple out which is a really great way to attach the sideline of the bunch side.  Also has inside zone and the rpo.  Combine this with the bunch formation and Trips TE and you’re entering hell scheme.

Overall Thoughts:  Trips TE is good enough.  Combine that with the other 3 WR compressed sets and this could be an early favorite as well.  If you value read options, this may be a reason to consider this book because of the one in bunch strong
