Madden 24 - Pittsburgh Steelers Playbook
The Steelers playbook took a small L by losing Gun Empty Trey Stack. and Pistol Double Stack. However, they kept some of their other great formations from the past few years like Jumbo Heavy (Ace DBL Wing), Singleback Wing Stack, Gun Tight Doubles.and Gun Bunch.
The new formations they added that are worth noting are Gun Tight Y Off, Gun Bunch Str Nasty, and Gun Trips TE.

Litez's Top 3 Favorite Formations in Pittsburgh Steelers Playbook Madden 24
Singleback Ace DBL Wing - The Offense I used in Madden 23. Once the personnel in MUT becomes TE friendly, Jumbo Heavy could be even better with how good the run might be in Madden 24. You can use this in CFM especially with the Niners (edit Samuel's position to HB)
Singleback Wing Stack - Missing that damn HB Stretch. I do think Belly Weak could be tough this year. This formation really has everything else. Has all the routes, Stack quick pass options, and able to motion the HB outwide wither side. Just need one of those runs to be good.
Gun Tight Doubles - Corners, Crossers, Wheel Route to the Outside WR and that Shot Fade? Yeah this formation will never not be good in a Madden. Atleast for me, these will always be my Top 3 sets when it comes to the Steelers book no matter what they add each year. They're that good.

- SB Wing Stack
Relatively unchanged from last year. Wish it had a stretch. There’s so many ways to beat man and zone with this formation. I think without a better run game there are other formations to focus on
- Ace Dbl Wing
Old jumbo heavy is still here. If elite te’s pop up in MUT soon, jumbo should be good. I don’t need to tell everyone why.
- Gun Tight Doubles
Still a really nice formation. You have sharp corners by three different receivers. Cross wheels is a nice quick snap. Bench allows you to attack with deeper corners and shot fade cross has that glitchy outside fade. Streak the WR next to him on the short side and you can beat cover 2 and cover 3. With the TE on the line it’s a really nice compressed formation. A slot app would help
- Gun Tight Y Off
In so many different books this year. Flood, slot cross, switch drag, redzone scissors and te corner. All nice plays. Wish it had a pivot or two
- Bunch Strg Nasty and Bunch
This nasty has Y trail and bunch shot. Primary passing play. As for Bunch, Steelers version was popular last year. Z spot, bunch trail, double cross. Steelers cross was a big favorite early in the year before people stopped running bunch as their every down formation. Also has corner strike, verticals and deep corner. If you need a TE on the line, I’d be a little worried. The routes are great. If you’re set on running Gun Bunch ( not offset) I’d probably just go with West Coast PB version
Overall Thoughts: Disappointing that they removed Pistol Double Stack and Trey stack. Tight doubles and the bunch’s are the way to go here.
